The Bandhavgarh National Park is located in the district of Sahdol in Madhya Pradesh, a central Indian state. The Bandhavgarh National Park lies amidst the Vindhya hills. The park came into being in 1968 when Maharaja of Rewa handed over the area to the government. Soon it became a protected area, where animals flourish in their natural abode. Bandhavgarh National Park covers an area of 448 sq km. The park is declared as a tiger reserve under project tiger in 1993.

How to reach Bandhavgarh National Park:

Umaria is the closest railway station to Bandhavgarh National Park and there is a direct train from Delhi to Umaria named Utkal Express. Umaria is 32 km away from Bandhavgarh Park and there are many buses and jeeps available from Umaria to reach Bandhavgarh National Park. Another place called Satna is 120 km from the National Park and is connected to major cities of the country through rail and road.

Kanha National Park


Tour Duration: 2 nights & 3 days

Kanha National Park and Tiger reserve is situated in the Mandla district of Madhya Pradesh. The park is one of the first project tiger reserves in India. The largest wildlife sanctuary in Asia, Kanha National Park is spread over an area of 1,940 sq. km. Bamboo groves, garlands, and Sal forests surround the sanctuary.

April to June and November to January is the best time to visit the park. Kanha National Park is closed from July to mid- November during the monsoon season. Tourists have designated hours to visit the park, which is generally from sunrise to noon, and from afternoon to sunset.

The main attractions of Kanha:

The major attraction of Kanha is of course the Tiger and most visitors look forward to see the beast. Other than the tiger, visitors can easily catch glimpses of porcupines, gray langurs, mangoose, hyena, jungle cat, leopard, wild pigs, Indian bison and varieties of deer like the barasingha, spotted deer, chousingha and nilgai.

Nagpur is the nearest airport to Kanha at a distance of 266 km, which is connected to Mumbai by many domestic airlines. Jabalpur is the nearest railhead and is 169 km away from Kanha National Park. The park can also be reached easily by roadways. Kanha is easily accessible by road from cities like Jabalpur, Khajuraho, Raipur, and Nagpur etc. For local transport, Madhya Pradesh government operates jeep service for visitors to explore the park.

Ranthambore National Park was the former hunting ground of the Maharajas of Jaipur. The park is situated in the eastern Rajasthan surrounded by Aravali hills and the Vindhyan plateau. The Ranthambore National Park was declared a game sanctuary in 1955 and in 1980 Ranthambore finally attained the status of a national park. The project Tiger was initiated in the year 1972 and soon the park was declared a tiger reserve.

The total area of the Ranthambore National Park including the area of the adjoining Kaila Devi Sanctuary and Mansingh Sanctuary is around 1334 sq. km.

Ranthambore National Park has the largest and most diverse collection of wildlife species in India. Ranthambore National Park is famous for the royal Bengal Tigers. There are around 36 tigers and 40 leopards in the Ranthambore National Park.

Another interesting thing at Ranthambore, which makes it a heritage site, are the striking ruins of the Ranthambore fort and a park in the vicinity. The lake palaces, chhatris, fortifications and the majestic 1000-year-old fort are some of the fabulous spots to see. GIR NATIONAL PARK

Gir National Park is located in the low and irrigated hills in the Junagadh district of Gujarat. The Gir forests covers an area of 1150 sq. km. Out of which 300 sq. km forms the core area of the national park. The Gir National Park is famous for being the last existing natural abode of the Asiatic Lion. From the miniscule 20 lions at one time, the conservation drive at Gir has rose to 250 - 300 currently. The park has a healthy population of other species of animals as well.

Gir National Park receives good amount of rainfall during monsoons, about 1000 mm. In winters, the temperature in the park area falls to as low as 6 degrees centigrade and in summer the temperature even rises up to as high as 46 degrees.

November to May is the period during which the park is open to all public. The best time to visit the park is during December to March. The park organizes many safaris for the tourists to see the lion from close distances.

Day 01:

Arrive by noon at the resort. Rest of the day will be spent in the jungle to watch the Asiatic Lion. Dinner and overnight stay at Gir Birding Lodge.

Day 02:

Next day morning, after having our breakfast, we will drive to the jungle for lion tracking and bird watching. The jungle visits lasts for about three hours. Early morning elephant safari through open grasslands and dense forests for wildlife viewing in the Corbett National Park. After breakfast, we take jeep safari to lakeside to see crocodiles. After lunch, rest of the day is free to relax. Optional : you can spend the day in a watchtower overlooking a water hole. Evening film shows on wildlife. Dinner and overnight stay at the park itself.

Afternoon jeep safari to Bijrani for tiger tracking. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.

Early morning drive to Bhuvankhal at sunrise.

Nainital - Nainital in Uttarahand has beautiful Naini lake and panoramic mountain scenery.
