In the afternoon, take a city sightseeing tour of Mumbai, visiting the famous Gateway to India ; India's own Arc De Triomph - the unusual Hanging Gardens built in 1881; the Dhobi Ghat , a once in a lifetime sight of the miraculous open-air operation by which clothes from all over Mumbai are hand laundered, ironed and packed off within the day by hundreds of washer men; Victoria Terminus , a busy train station built 1887 known for its extraordinary architectural styles; Marine Drive , Mumbai's seaside promenade; and the Prince of Wales Museum , housing exquisite collection of paintings and sculpture.
Day 03: Mumbai - Pune (By road- 4 hours drive)
In the morning we drive to Pune, often referred to as the Oxford of the East and the cultural capital of Maharashtra. Arrive and check in to hotel and relax.
Day 04: Pune
In the morning, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Pune visiting the famous Aga Khan Palace, also known as Kasturba Gandhi Memorial or Kasturba Samadhi. Built in 1892 by Imam Sultan Muhammad Shah Aga Khan III, it was donated to India in 1969 by Aga Khan IV. The palace has served as quarters for imprisonment of Gandhi and his wife Kasturba towards the tail end of the British rule in India. A special cenotaph honors Kasturba who died here. A shop attached to it sells khadi or cotton handloomed garments and textiles. Later, we'll visit the 8th century cave temples dedicated to Lord Pataleshwar- God of the Underworld. Rest of the day at leisure.
Day 05: Pune - Mumbai - Goa (By Flight)
In the morning we drive back to Mumbai in time to board a flight to Goa. On arrival, you'll be met by our Goa representative and transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day free to relax on the beach.
Day 06: Goa
After breakfast at hotel, we'll visit the famous Mangeshi Temple, Kesarval Springs , and Old Portuguese Manor etc. Rest of the day free to relax on the beach.
Day 07: Goa
After breakfast at hotel, full day at leisure. Spend the day on the beach or explore nearby attractions of Goa.
Day 08: Goa - Mumbai (By flight) - Departure
After breakfast at hotel, morning free to relax on the beach. Late afternoon, board a flight to Mumbai. On arrival our local representative will meet you and transfer you to International airport to board a flight to your onward destination or way back home with sweet memories of India.
